Jesus

Writing 201: Poetry day 2 assignment. Acrostic poem. This one looks to be even more challenging than the first assignment. I’m up to the task though!!

Gift. Acrostic. Simile.

Just when I was completely alone

Emphatic silence rang loud like a baby’s cry

Salvation’s greatest Gift spoke sweetly into the night

Unarming the grip of loneliness

Showering me with love

Jarrod, you and I wrote about the same topic ๐Ÿ™‚ Salvation’s greatest gift ๐Ÿ™‚ Go check mine out… it’s wonderful how the prompts spoke to both of us in the same way. I love your similie… silence like a baby’s cry. Sometimes the silence can be deafening. Glad to read your poems and will have fun seeing more. Blessings!

Oops, I hit send too fast! I wanted to say that this army is comprised of those who are not ashamed of the gospel, like Paul. I read a verse today and it brought you to mind. It’s a paraphrase of Job… have you read it? “I have to speak–I have no choice. I have to say what’s on my heart, And I’m going to say it straight– the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I was never any good at flattery; my Maker would make short work of me if I started in now!” Right?

Blessings, Jarod. You are going to speak and people are going to marvel at your wisdom and kind strength. You’ll need that, to lead this new army of God.
