Beautiful Sounds

Writing 201: Poetry has come to and end. The last assignment is a sonnet. I tried to do a play on words. So, here it goes!!

Pleasure. Sonnet. Apostrophe.

To hear you sing the sweetest melodies,
I will sit and listen with intensity
To the pleasureful sound of happiness
That flows from the soul in purity

Hours and hours of my hands and your voice
Creating soft tones in which I delight
Time is suspended when we are together
Writing notes back and forth to each other

A powerful resound brings tears to my eyes
My love for you once waned, but is now alive
So, I will take the time to appreciate

A harmony that words cannot describe
A love once lost, now bursting with life
Perfection is being a musician
