Precious Moments

A moment in time
A moment of clarity
A moment of parity
A moment of peace

A moment of silence
Not draped in violence
Rather serene respect
For all to see

A moment of joy
A moment of laughter
And cordial chatter
Amongst strangers and family

What are these moments that bring us together
Help us to weather
The fiercest weather

Overriding pain
Allowing gain
Increase through rain
Washing the guilty stains
His name remains the same
