The Morning Routine

Monday is upon us!! I know that’s not great news for some, but it should be. Why?

You have been blessed to see another morning!

Sadly, we take that for granted. Most people don’t want to get out of bed. Some dread going to work. Others are sleepy. Another group may be full of life. Or, you could fit in multiple categories. Whatever the case, the beginning of the week is upon us. This means we all get back into it morning routines.

For the most part, our morning are predictable. We wake up, grab our phone/some electronic, get the kids’s stuff ready (if you have kids), wake them up/get them dressed/argue about their slowness, grab some breakfast and run out the door. If you’re childless like me, then you lie in bed until the last possible minute only to realize (multiple times over) that you should have gotten up earlier. Of course, everyone has their nuances. Nonetheless, what you do in the morning can set the tone for the entire day. Sadly, people don’t realize how important their mornings can be until they have a bad one.

A rushed morning means a rushed day which can turn into a rushed life. That’s no way to live. Morning time should be full of thankfulness and preparation for another day. However, most skip past the part of being thankful and dive head first into the day. That makes me wonder.

Do we give God time in the morning?

Their truly is no better way to start your day than to pray and read the Bible. Being in the presence of God at any time of the day is indescribable. However, being there in the morning is that much better. It prepares you for whatever the day brings be it blessings or tribulations.

Try it out one day. Let the first words of the morning be a praise to God for seeing the day. Ask him to lead, guide, and bless you, your family, and friends.

See what He does for you when you put Him in your morning routine.
