It’s Monday morning.
I’m lying in my bed wishing I would have slept here last night. I like to frequent the floor. Anyways, I popped on Facebook for a morning check. It seems as though people are starting to get back to some semblance of normal. After the figurative blood bath that was the 2016 Presidential Election, it’s time we focus on ourselves.
We have a new day to do just that.
What are your goals? What are you’re dreams? What do you want to accomplish? You have one more day to achieve those things.
Do you have any broken relationships? A friend you’re mad at? A loved one you haven’t talked to in years? An estranged parent? Swallow your pride. Break those walls and mend the relationship. Try.
People say “Live everyday like it’s your last”, but the reality is we live those days in a selfish manner. We’ll do everything that pleases us with no regard for others. Our lives are not always about us.
Leave hate. Abandon vitriol. Treat people right. Love one another.
Not only does this Monday mark the beginning of a new day, it’s the beginning of a brand new week. Fresh opportunities to be the best person you can be. A chance to persevere through troubling situations. A moment to assess. Time to improve.
Today is a new day. What are you going to do with it?
