Oh, The Places We Will Go: Part 2

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Jamaica is the most beautiful country I’ve ever had the pleasure to visit. I will gladly go back as much as possible. This was Jeffyvonne’s first time visiting. She was excited to see the country. We ported in Falmouth and went on an excursion to Dunn River Falls.

For those that have never been, Dunn River Falls is a natural waterfall that leads out to the sea. A guide takes your crew on a climb up a 180 foot waterfall surrounded by greenery that provides much needed shade. It truly is gorgeous. And it’s a workout. You have to have water shoes as you’re climbing on uneven rocks. All the while you’re holding a fellow patrons hand to ensure you all don’t fall. Sounds dangerous, but it’s not. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

After we climbed the falls, we went and ate. I forgot where, though. All I know is they had something called festival. It’s like a semisweet fried bread. My my my was it good! I wish we could have gotten some jerk chicken. Like the flame your mouth up jerk chicken. Alas, they didn’t have any, but they made up for it with plantains.
