Writing is supposed to be fun. It’s an outlet for the author. It’s a journey. Developing a thought from start to finish. Researching to have the correct information. Creating characters, stories, scenarios, and drawing from real life. Sometimes reality is better than fiction. Writing is more than just putting words to paper. The author becomes vulnerable. This is their work, and no one wants to hear their work is not appreciated. But…..
The writing is for the reader.
Reading is a different story. It can be fun, but overall it is supposed to stir emotions. It should be thought provoking. You should walk away from whatever you have read with some type of feeling. In my case, I want you to feel inspired. Other pieces may call for realization or self-reflection. Maybe I want you to laugh, cry, or feel my pain. Mostly, I just want you sucked into the story so much so until you can’t stop reading until you’ve finished.
If I have done any of the above, then I have succeeded as a blogger.
Thank you for sharing. I feel the exact same way.

It’s kind of a reminder to myself because I write about some heavy topics. Sometimes people don’t like what I say. But at the end of the day if I made them think, then I’m good.
