I’m a serious proponent of voting. There is too much at stake not to make my voice heard.
Today is midterm election day, and I’ve been more invested in midterms than I ever have in life. After the election of Donald Trump, I told myself I have to start paying attention more. I need to be aware of what’s going on in my local politics. They will ultimately affect the state and national level which can definitely be seen in this year’s taxes between Heidi Heitkamp (D) and Kevin Kramer (R). I’ve never seen so much hate, and that’s just in North Dakota. I can imagine how things are in other states with more pressing issues.
I live in a red state and I lean Democratic (I’ll listen to a Republican if they have something to say) which makes it feel like my vote will be washed out by the throngs of other voters who don’t care about the same issues.
But it does count. Change can’t be made by sitting on the couch. So, today I’m going to vote. I’m praying for the best because our country needs it.
Your stickers are so much better than ours! 😆
